Basic Concepts of Geometry

Geometry is the foundation of spatial reasoning, design, and mathematical problem-solving, yet it often feels overwhelming when introduced as a series of disconnected rules. This course breaks down geometric principles into clear, logical concepts that build your confidence from the ground up. You will transition from understanding simple points and lines to analyzing complex properties of polygons and circles with ease. What you will learn: Understand the foundational properties of points, lines, angles, and transversal lines; Master the core theorems governing triangles, rectangles, and squares; Analyze the distinct characteristics of advanced quadrilaterals like rhombs and trapeziums; Explore the essential properties and equations related to circles; Practice solving geometric problems using step-by-step mathematical reasoning. You will begin by exploring fundamental definitions and core terminology before moving systematically through the properties of lines, angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, and circles. This text-only course is designed specifically for beginners and students looking to refresh their mathematical foundations, requiring no prior geometry experience. Start reading today to build a strong, permanent foundation in geometry.
