Basics of Geometry for GRE Prep

Scoring high on the GRE quantitative section requires a rock-solid understanding of geometry, yet many test-takers struggle to recall high school math under pressure. This course breaks down essential geometric principles into clear, digestible lessons, helping you rebuild your confidence and speed. You will transition from memorizing formulas to instinctively recognizing the most efficient paths to the correct answer. By reading through structured explanations and analyzing step-by-step problem breakdowns, you will learn to tackle GRE-style geometry questions systematically. What you'll learn: Understand core geometric definitions, including lines, angles, and coordinate planes; Master essential formulas for triangles, polygons, circles, and three-dimensional solids; Apply proven problem-solving strategies to quantitative comparison and multiple-choice questions; Recognize common geometric traps and shortcuts designed to save valuable test time; Practice translating written word problems into clear geometric diagrams. The course begins with foundational definitions and basic angle properties before progressing to complex multi-shape problems and coordinate geometry. This text-based program is designed specifically for GRE candidates who want to refresh their math skills from the ground up, with no prior advanced mathematics required. Start reading today to sharpen your geometric reasoning and maximize your GRE quantitative score.
