Nanoelectronics Fundamentals

As electronic devices shrink, classical physics gives way to quantum mechanics. This course prepares you for the next wave of electronic innovation by explaining the fundamental principles that govern behavior at the nanoscale. You will build a strong foundation in quantum mechanics and its application to materials science and device physics. What you'll learn: * Understand the core principles of quantum mechanics, including quantization and wave-particle duality. * Explore the electronic properties of molecules, carbon nanotubes, and crystals, including energy band formation. * Grasp the concepts of electron transport, from ballistic transport to Ohm's Law. * Compare different transport mechanisms in nanoscale devices. * Discuss the fundamental limits of computation at the atomic level. This course begins with foundational concepts in quantum mechanics and progresses to the electronic properties of materials and nanoscale transport. It is designed for beginners with no prior knowledge of nanoelectronics or advanced quantum physics, providing a clear path to understanding the building blocks of future electronic technologies. Begin your journey into the quantum world of electronics today.
